Hysterectomy surgery is one of the most common surgeries performed, with approx 45,000 procedures each year in Australia. In the US, more than a third of women have had a hysterectomy by age 60.
Medical studies have found those who use compression belts post-surgery tend to recover faster and feel confident returning to daily activities sooner.
Belly Bands are suitable for any abdominal and spinal surgery.
Support: Binding the tummy after major abdominal surgery such as a Hysterectomy procedure, can significantly reduce pain and make walking easier. (Which is encouraged for healing).
Recover : Applying compression to the wound can protect the incision from opening or tearing. It can also reduce the risk of an Incisional Hernia developing and result in a flatter scar.
Tip: Take the Belly Band with you to the hospital as patients generally start using it within the first 36 hours after surgery.

What are Adhesions?;
Abdominal adhesions are bands of fibrous tissue that can form as the body begins to heal after surgery, if the scar tissue joins two internal body surfaces that are not normally connected and prevent these organs from moving freely they can lead to chronic pain, bowel construction, infertility and more In most cases, abdominal adhesions are not problematic but specialists recommend massaging the scar area as a way to break up scar tissue.
Sizing & Fitting Guide!
Belly Bands are manufactured using a unique fabric that permits the velcro tabs to attach anywhere on the garment. Each piece is cut by hand to ensure a more contoured fit making it suitable for most body types.
