Maternity Sacroiliac Pelvic Belt (10cm Wide)
Pelvic girdle pain (PGP) or pubic symphysis dysfunction (PSD) affects 80% of women during pregnancy. Symptoms can range from mild to severe, often increasing in the 3rd trimester as the body starts preparing for delivery.
Often physiotherapists will recommend certain exercises to help, as well as the use of a Sacroiliac Pelvic Belt. The purpose of the belt is to keep the pelvis stable, which can greatly help to reduce pain and discomfort when moving around.
The Maternity Sacroiliac Pelvic by Belly Bands is 10 cm wide, if you prefer a wider band we suggest the 3-in-1 Belly Band (as seen in the video below)

Take your belly band to the hospital with you!
Medical studies have shown that it is beneficial after abdominal surgery including c-section delivery to wear a compression garment. As you can see from the video, this helps to keep the wound stable as you get in and out of bed, relieves pain and improves walking, and of course, allows a new mother to use both hands to care for herself and her new baby.
With 1-in-3 babies now delivered via caesarean section, all soon-to-be mums are encouraged to included caesarean delivery as part of their birth plan.
Belly Bands have partnered with medical experts and mobile app designers to develop a free informative and interactive mobile app resource to help prepare for post-op recovery following a caesarean delivery.

I purchased the belly pelvic band and has relieved a lot of pelvic pressure and pain while at work. I am 20 weeks pregnant with my fifth baby and found being on my feet all day, lifting and bending has caused a lot of pain but when I feel pressure getting a bit much I pop the band on and at the end of the day, I have found I recover better and have less hip and pelvic pain. Definitely worth the investment!
I am now at 36 weeks with some serious SI joint pain for the last 3 weeks. I made a very quick purchase after seeing my chiro and I don’t think I could hope to walk between chiro appointments without it. My only regret was not getting it earlier to prevent injury. The double layer adds an extra level of support I really need. I pull it so tight to be able to walk. It’s a must if your pelvic pain is kicking in.
It has been nice and supportive but a little hot to wear up in tropical Queensland. I wear when support is needed.
Im a nurse with existing sciatic issues so having a tool, like the pelvic band, to lift and support my pregnancy when I need has been a life saver.
I’m so happy I bought the maternity pelvic belt from BellyBand as it has provided me with so much support and allows me to keep up with my two year old and an active lifestyle - pain free! Highly recommend it. Great support, easy to use and comfortable.
